Every year, the Pantone Color Institute gives its opinion on the top ten colors for both Spring and Fall. These reports and opinions come from studying the color trend, and where it goes throughout the year. This spring color report is often used for fashion trends and the runways, but it can also be used in your home. In fact, many people will often implement the designs into your home.
The specific colors for this year are supposed to feel like the great outdoors. From the bright Primrose Yellow to look like the sun, to the Kale color that kind of looks like an Evergreen Tree you might find in your backyard. About this year’s spring color choices, Leatrice Elseman of the Color Insitute said: “One of the things that we saw this year, was a renewed sense of imagination in which color was appearing in context that was different than the traditional,” She continued on to say: “designers applied color in playful, yet thoughtful and precise combinations to fully capture the promises, hope and transformation that we yearn for each Spring.”

On the Walls
Some of these colors would look great on the walls of your home. The Lapis Blue color would create a very relaxing atmosphere. However, maybe the dark sea-like blue is a little much for your personal tastes. If you wanted to go neutral, the Hazelnut color might do it for you.

Blue looks great with white accent pieces. It brings a very heavy contrast into your room that sticks out. A similar trick goes along with the hazelnut (pictured below). A dark, chocolate brown contrast great against the hazelnut color and gives the room some more class and elegance.

As an Accent
Some of these colors from the color reports are bold. Maybe a little too bold to go on the walls. Alternatively, you can use them as accent colors. The Primrose Yellow and the Pink Yarrow Pink go well together in a room. It gives your room a nice bright atmosphere, that still looks very inviting. Or, you can just go with the yellow alone, and not touch the pink if that’s not your style.

Along that line, you can also use the pink just by itself. It works great as an accent color against black and white as suggested by domino.com.

And what’s the easiest way to add the colors Kale and Greenery into your home? Simple! Add actually greenery into your home in the form of plants. Not only will you be going along with the color scheme, but your home will feel better over all.

Even with canvas or rosin-paper drop cloths, giant spills still have to be compelled to get wiped up at once or they’ll course through. Clean spills with paper towels or rags. Likewise, if you spatter paint on the other surface, wipe it up straight off.
